I purchased Illustrator CS4 online. I was given a serial number, and I can't find a place to get it back. I can find a place to download it, but I was given a serial number when I bought it. Where can I find the serial number?
UPDATE: I just got a reply from Adobe stating that they can't give me my money back because I purchased the online version of Illustrator. The customer service rep states that I got this message because I signed up and paid for it online and didn't have a CD with the serial number on it. I didn't purchase a CD with the software, I bought it online. How is that different from buying software for hundreds of dollars and getting a CD with a serial number?
Adobe's site has a recovery console. Please follow these directions. It will work. They are based on XP. They will work on any windows operating system. You have to have your serial number to start this process.
I have Mac OS 9.3.5. I can't download to my desktop. I can't put the serial number in an email and have it sent to the Adobe install site and have them send me a new disk. All I have access to is my laptop. I don't know if this is a Mac problem or an Adobe problem. Anybody have an idea of what I can do to get this working again?
I bought Illustrator CS4 directly from Adobe online; I never had a disk. My hard drive has gone whacko-, I had to replace it. Now I can't get illustrator to run, and the link I had that used to bring me to the download site no longer has a download link. I don't mind buying software online; but I didn't get a disk. I don't want to have to buy an upgrade just because my hard disk crashed but by removing the link to my software, it appears they're trying to make me do that. I still have the serial number and it was a full install, not an upgrade. Anybody know what I can do about this?
I think the problem is when I had this system, I had a virus that corrupted a file and that file was on the link to the software. Now I can't get to that file. I tried downloading the file, but it was damaged. When I reinstalled, it asked me if I wanted to reinstall all my files, and I say yes, so it starts over. But I don't know if that file is still corrupted. If I could get to that file, I could maybe fix it, but it doesn't show up on my file browser. I searched for it in the C drive, but it's not there. It's just gone. I tried searching everywhere I could think of, but I can't find it. Is it still in my system somewhere, or did it get overwritten by the reinstall, or some other problem? 827ec27edc
